2017 Joint Advocacy Conference Essay Competition
and Publication in Urology Practice
As in past years, the New England Section will again sponsor the travel of up to two urology residents or fellows to attend the 2017 Annual AUA/AACU Urology Joint Advocacy Conference in Washington, DC through its annual JAC Essay Competition.
There is a change in topic for this year's Essay Competition. Essay submissions this year should be on a health care topic of the writer's choice and can be used to explain their interest in health policy. The applicant need not explain why they wish to attend the JAC meeting as part of this essay.
An exciting addition to the JAC Essay Competition this year will be automatic publication of one of the selected recipients' essays in Urology Practice, a journal of the AUA. Note that essays will need to be submitted in the format followed by Urology Practice, including article length and appropriate citation of references.
The 2017 Annual Joint Urology Advocacy Conference will take place March 5-7, 2017 in Washington, DC.
