Drs. Anthony Caldamone and Michael Siroky to Receive AUA Awards
The AUA recently announced that Dr. Anthony Caldamone will receive an AUA Distinguished Contribution Award and Dr. Michael Siroky will receive an AUA Presidential Citation in 2017. Both will be honored at the AUA Annual Meeting this May in Boston.
Distinguished Contribution Awards are presented annually to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the science and practice of urology, including but not limited to contributions made in sub-specialty areas, for military career service, or for humanitarian efforts. Dr. Anthony Caldamone will receive this award for significant contributions to academic urology and exemplary humanitarian dedication to pediatric urologic missions in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and South America.
Presidential Citations are presented to individuals deemed to have significantly promoted the cause of urology. Each recipient is chosen by the AUA President. Dr. Michael Siroky will receive a citation for a career dedicated to the understanding and advancement of the field of neurourology.

Smith, Jr., Editor of The Journal of Urology®, and Dr. Kevan Sternberg, New England Section Representative on the Editorial Board, cordially invite all residents, fellows and junior faculty to attend The Journal of Urology® Peer Review Seminar on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Hotel Bonaventure to learn about the processes of peer review. Admittance is FREE but attendance is limited. Please register online on or before July 31, 2017 to be included in the course.
